The Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment exists to protect and restore biodiversity in Oxfordshire.

We do this by funding community projects and establishing larger-scale nature recovery projects, to enrich our natural world and to connect people with it. We work with community groups to fund local environmental projects, and with landowners and developers on biodiversity net gain, to support nature recovery.

What we do

Funding for community groups

Biodiversity net gain for landowners and developers

Our Local Environment Fund provides grants up to £15,000 for community groups to improve biodiversity and access to nature.

We offer a tailored BNG service to landowners, to achieve the best possible outcomes for them and for nature, and a full off-site BNG service for developers, combining sector-leading expertise and value for money.

Our priorities

Our purpose is to halt the decline in nature and help restore its richness. We work to:

Protect

and enhance existing sites of environmental importance.

Create

biodiverse habitats where nature can thrive.

Connect

people to their environment, building engagement with nature and support for its recovery.
